A tribute to my favorite player: Michael Redd

Michael Redd was a second round pick in the 2000 draft (43rd pick overall). Despite that, he worked hard. He says that he "trained like a madman". It paid off. He was in an NBA first-team, All-star, and an Olympic gold medalist in Beijing.
He is also a devoted Christian. After he scores a three pointer, he lifts his arm and points to the sky, dedicating his shot to God.
Before every game, he grabs the ball and prays so nobody gets injured.
Every interview he emphasizes that the key is to stay humble and thank God.
His dad is a pastor, and when Michael got his first pay for his contract, he bought his dad a Church.

Unfortunately, these past couple of seasons have been painful for him.
Two years ago, he got injured, and tore the ligaments in his knee, and he was out for the season.
Last season, he came back, and he was slowly getting back to his old form, scoring around 20 per game until he got injured again, on that same knee, and was out for the season for a second time.
Even if I was a devoted Christian, I might have hated God at that time, for doing such thing to him not once, but twice.
He was just playing to honor God and enjoy himself and this is what happens... But he did not complain, and his faith was still strong.
He will be back with the Bucks in February, so in less than a week.

I support him and wish him the best; always.
Thanks for reading!
